The Coed Helen Park Par 3 Golf Facility was officially opened by Ray Carrasco (2004 Ryder Cup Wales Senior Open Champion) and former Welsh coach Craig Defoy on 14th June 2007.
The short course includes 3 Huxley Golf synthetic Greens and 9 Tees together with 5 bunkers. The facility, designed by Terry Adamson of Merit Golf was constructed as a joint venture between Merit Golf, Golf Development Wales and Gwynedd Council.
The golf project was funded from the Ryder Cup Legacy Fund to promote the sport to a new generation of local golfers, in particular, children from local schools.
The 9 tees allows different shots to be played to the 3 greens and can provide enjoyment to both beginners and experienced players who want to improve their short game skills. At the same time, the 5 bunkers add a further challenge and provides the opportunity to learn bunker shot techniques.
The course at Coed Helen is magnificently located with the picturesque views of Angelsey , the Menai Straights and Caernarfon Castle in the background.
