Euro PGA Seniors coming to Conwy ...
The pro senior golfers from the European Tour will be playing in the Welsh Senior's Open event at Conwy Golf Club in June (Friday 13th June - Sunday 15th June 2008). They will no doubt be practicing on the artificial practice facility installed by Merit Golf!
The likes of Ian Woosnam, Tommy Horton, Mark James, Sandy Lyle, Peter Mitchell and Sam Torrence will be battling it out for this years title where the prize money is only second in size to that of the US Seniors open (a total pot of £500,000 - £75,000 going to the winner).
Terry Adamson - one of our directors - has been invited to play in the pro-am (Thursday 12th) preceeding the event partnering Dennis O'Sullivan - a great player and a very well respected man on the tour.
The artificial chipping and putting green we have installed will be getting some hardcore use off some of the best players in the world, so we are looking forward to having some feedback on the facility.
