Warrington Golf Club : 2 new All Weather Tees ...

13th Hole (Par 3 155 yards)

The Warrington Golf Club in Cheshire have installed 2 Huxley All Weather Tees on their course. The work was carried out early in March 2007 over a two day period, with Head Greenkeeper, Paul Pearse and his staff working with Merit Golf’s Terry Adamson on the installation. Each Tee is 4 yards x 4 yards and is a composite design using different artificial Turf materials.

The first Tee to be installed was on the 13th Hole, a 155 yard Par 3. This Tee used a Premier Nylon centre section with outer strips of Premier Tee Turf 2 (PTT2). This design allows for shots to be played directly from the Nylon surface or from a teed ball from the PPT2 Turf.

The second Tee to be installed was on the 12th Hole, a 260 yard Par 4. The Turf material here used a Polypropylene, sand filled centre section, again with (PTT2) outer strips. The centre section is not intended for shots to be played directly from that surface. All the shots are played from the PTT2 surface. This Tee also benefited from the installation of an All Weather Pathway to serve it.

Both Richard and Paul were delighted with their new Tees and looked forward to introducing additional All Weather Tees on the course in the future.

Coming down to stay at the Village Warrington hotel due to work. Could fancy a game of golf to pass the time. Great idea, especially at this time of year.
